Any ideas as to a way to play a 2 player game online?

I was thinking using remote access may be a possibility to allow two to play using the same system. Anyone ever tried this? My father and I would love to be able to play, but we live 800 miles apart.

We used to do it, where you'd just send the game file that you're playing to that person, they'd play and then when it's your turn, they'd send it back.
