Greetings all,
It seems like every company I start must go through a poor management cycle, and sometimes NEVER improves, but becomes more and more less capable until the company finally practically fails. What is the best way to hire and keep good managers? Is there a way? Do I _always_ need to fire the first group of incompetents?
Also, I read in the "How do you make your money" post a few people "cash out after failing a moral question from the game". How do you cash out exactly? For example, if I start an IT company and I am told we can release a trojan virus, and I say yes, this tells me, 1) it will work. In which case how/when do I cash out? or 2) It will backfire, we will get found out, and stock will fall, etc..
Finally, what is the best way to grow a company, in your experience? Say for example the industry is growing at 20% short term and 20% long term (or whatever). How do I double, triple, or more the company? (buy assets ever? do nothing and just wait for the machine to work?) What growth rate is ok in the beginning? 40% 50% 60%?? How about R&D spending? How often should I merge and with what type of company? (ie. much smaller? bad credit rating? how much research before I merge?) Can someone illustrate how to successfully or properlly merge with another company so I don't
Oh, one more thing. What speed do you all keep your ticker running at?
Thanks, gc505
