Things I'd like to see...
- Online play: Ability to play online against other players, the game was made for players to play against each other only if they are sitting at the same computer.
- Build upon opening companies overseas: Make it mean more then just a location. Have the differences in government, taxes, and markets differenciate between nations.
- Rich list: Have a list of the richest people in the world with the players playing listed.
- Commodities: Have commodities available to invest in.

Things I'd like to see...
- Two Computer Players - So we could observe how they approach each transaction and establish themselves in the business climate, and the strategy they employ based on the economic conditions at time of play.
- Scroll backwards through the Financial News Headlines. - Fical Year financial control of each company. - Complete an income Statement and Balance sheet. - Cost basis for all transactions - Transaction summary: Prior to hitting the "OK" button, a summary of the transaction will display the P&L for that transaction. (i.e. You cost and selling price will display on the transaction box) - Abilty to make smaller transactions and in Dollars or %. - - - As I begin to play the game and read the Strategy manual I will return to this forum. - - -

Good suggestions Bizwiz. Another thing I'd like to see is the return of the insider trading feature from the old DOS version of W$R. Remember when every couple of turns you'd get a insider tip from your broker and you could invest in that company at your own risk?

Currently, when a company sends a merger request to take over one of your companies, you dont have much information to determine whether is a good deal or not. As a result, at least for me, 90% of the merger deals I say yes to are bad deals. W$R needs to add a feature where you can actually research the company thats proposing the merger BEFORE you accept. In the meantime I have to say no to almost every deal.

Currently in the game, the only way for corporations to acquire other corporations that don't have 100% of the stock publicly available is to perform a stock-for-stock merger. It would be great if you could make cash offers for 100% of the stock for companies that do not have 100% of the stock available. Obviously the cash offer would have to include a premium in order to get the necessary votes of approval.

I would like to see how many and what divisions a company has so when buying I could brake up the company and sell the assets that aren't profitable, don't fit into the new company I intend to build up etc. That would also be interesting when a company files for bankruptcy: restart the profitable parts of the company and let the other parts go bankrupt. So I would like to see break-up value for each company in the game.
Then I would like to be able to hire an investment bank and give them actual assignments. Industry analysis, value calculation etc.
And I would like to add the option that through the investment bank or through a broker you can start buying packages of stock in a company so you don't have to make tender offers with idiot prices to get a percentage in one transaction. You can enter a maximum price and the broker starts buying.
Then I would like to respond to a stock-for-stock merger with a counterbid cash-for-stock merger where I can determine the price I want to receive. Of course I would like to see that individual stockholders are introduced whom I can contact to make an offer for their stock.
And finally I really want to be able to start up more than one company per year. All stakes I own I put in a holding and simulate they are an investment fund. I want to be able to make more funds per year than just one.

Highlighting the new features I would like to see would merely be reiterating every post on this page. The only thing is, we haven't seen any of the new features yet

Ability to select numerous loans at once to purchase for the bank, rather than "one per turn"
Unless you can already do this...and I'm just ignorant.

Online play would be huge. We tried it a few years ago, but it's really hard to do other than having people play with the same file and seeing how they do.
